Job Title: Account Manager

Job Summary
- To maintain the hotel’s high standards and improve in our services, we are seeking a skilled Account Manager to oversee key accounts, drive revenue growth, and foster long-term business relationships.
- The Account Manager ensures the financial health of the hotel by maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, managing budgets, and supporting business decisions with accurate data analysis.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Maintain general ledger and ensure journal entries are accurate and timely.
- Perform financial forecasting and risk analysis to support management decisions.
- Develop and manage hotel budgets in coordination with department heads.
- Monitor daily financial operations (billing, invoicing, reconciliations).
- Maintain and prepare a monthly bank reconciliation statement based on operating activities.
- Prepare monthly performance reports as may be required by the management in order to identify areas for profitability improvement.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor pricing to position the Hotel competitively.
Cash Flow & Revenue Monitoring:
- Oversee all cash flow and banking activities.
- Supervise income auditing to ensure all revenue is properly recorded.
- Track revenue streams from all income sources and other services.
- Analyze profit margins and cost controls.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and revenue streams.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of all invoices.
- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection.
- Manage vendor contracts, terms, and payment schedules.
- Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
Payroll & HR Coordination:
- Oversee salary calculations, benefits administration, and statutory deductions.
- Work closely with HR for employee expense management and payroll tax filings.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the accounting team by providing support where and when necessary.
- Collaborate with department managers to align financial goals.
- Present financial insights and recommendations during management meetings.
- Collaborate with marketing to create targeted campaigns for key accounts.
Assets, Systems, & Technology:
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and register for the hotel.
- Maintain an asset maintenance register in order to ascertain when assets are due for servicing for optimal functionality.
- Oversee financial software and property management system integrations.
- Ensure data security and backup protocols for all financial records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, in hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounting packages, financial regulations, and also with good understanding on administrative procedures.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and also as part of a team.
- Strong negotiation skills, effective communication skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on revenue optimization.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Salary
- N120,000 – N150,000 / month.
