They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Responsibilities
As an Account Officer, you will:

  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions
  • Oversee accounts payable functions, ensuring timely processing and follow-up
  • Monitor and maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Coordinate and support external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations, and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS)
  • Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting processes
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts regularly
  • Process tax payments and ensure timely remittance (e.g., VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.)
  • Maintain vendor accounts and follow up on outstanding payables
  • Liaise with banks and vendors when necessary
  • Contribute to process improvements and drive efficiency in financial operations.

Qualifications and Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • ICAN certification is an added advantage
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail, good communication, and listening skills
  • Strong analytical skills.
