Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Lokoja, Kogi

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Officer to join our fashion store’s finance team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in accounting and will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • This role is crucial in supporting the financial health and growth of our fashion store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately documented and entered into the accounting system.
  • Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, verifying expenses, and ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
  • Manage accounts receivable by generating invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency between bank statements and accounting records
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Residence in Lokoja
