Job Description

  • As we continue to scale, we are strengthening our finance operations and seeking a Reconciliation Officer to join our growing team.
  • This role requires a detail-oriented, analytical professional who can ensure accuracy in financial transactions and provide timely reconciliations across various accounts.
  • The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting financial transparency and operational efficiency as the brand continues to grow.

Job Summary

  • The Reconciliation Officer will be responsible for conducting regular reconciliations of financial records, including bank statements, payment platforms, and internal ledgers.
  • This role is key to identifying discrepancies, resolving financial variances, and ensuring that the company’s financial records are accurate and up to date.
  • The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting or finance, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position is critical to supporting both internal financial controls and external compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, POS systems, digital payments, and internal ledgers.
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and banking partners to resolve outstanding reconciliation issues.
  • Prepare and maintain reconciliation reports for management, highlighting unresolved variances and risk areas.
  • Maintain a clear and auditable trail of all reconciliations performed.
  • Support the month-end close process by providing reconciled balances and schedules.
  • Ensure all reconciliation processes adhere to internal control standards and company policies.
  • Recommend and support the implementation of process improvements to enhance reconciliation accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing relevant reconciliation data and documentation.

​Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in a reconciliation or accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP platforms).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
