Job Title: Accountant

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and other key financial reports.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of financial transactions.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance withfinancial regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct periodic financial analysis to provide insights for business decision-making.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure proper financial compliance.
  • Utilize accounting software for financial reporting, bookkeeping, and reconciliation.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide financial advice and recommendations to management to support business growth.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Being Chartered will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of handson experience in an accounting role, preferably in a multi-sector business environment.

Technical and Soft Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, or other ERP accounting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial reporting standards (IFRS), and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent skills in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary

  • N100,000 – N150,000 Monthly.
