Job Title: Accountant
Location: Jos, Plateau

Job Description
- The accountant plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.
- The primary roles of the accountant include preparing financial statements, developing budgets, conducting financial forecasting, and providing strategic financial guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Record Management – Maintain accurate financial records, record transactions per accounting standards, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Tax Compliance & Preparation – Prepare and file tax returns while ensuring compliance and identifying tax-saving opportunities.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Auditing – Develop budgets, analyze financial trends, provide projections, and conduct internal audits.
- Accounts Payable (AP) Management – Process invoices, verify and reconcile vendor payments, ensure timely disbursement of funds, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Accounts Receivable (AR) Management – Generate invoices, track outstanding payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and optimize cash inflow.
- Payroll Management – Process payroll, manage benefits, and ensure accurate deductions.
- Risk Assessment & Financial Strategy – Identify financial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Compliance & Regulatory Reporting – Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare reports for auditors, stakeholders, and agencies.
- Cost Management & Efficiency Improvement – Analyze expenses, optimize spending, and improve financial efficiency.
- Liaison with External Stakeholders – Coordinate with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions, providing financial data to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional Certification
- Professional certifications like ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3years of accounting experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of medical products, pharmaceutical regulations, and healthcare industry practices will be an added advantage.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
