Job Summary
- To perform and coordinate accounting duties within our company and his/her responsibilities shall include; preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Job Description
- Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
- Preparing financial analyses and reports.
- Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditures.
- Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non- compliance.
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
- Preparing ledger and checking for the number bikes pending delivery against Pro forma Invoices paid and rise additional invoices if all POs have been paid.
- Clarifying queries with a finance team and head office.
- Making and getting phone calls from Banker Clearing agents and Staff.
- Checking bank payment vouchers.
- Making Bank payments/Fund transfers for instance negotiating for the exchange rate, requesting USD, and sending for fund transfer approval.
- Making Bank transfer fund request; FX transfer requests send to HO and Hard copies Submitted to Bank.
- Preparing monthly financials for Petrok Oil and Gas Services LTD with schedules reconciling with P&L and Balance sheet balances.
- Monthly Statutory tax returns preparation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 4+ years of accounting experience.
- Procurement and cost control experience
- Working knowledge of tax laws.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and stress management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to train and manage staff.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
