Job Summary

Job Profile

As an intern, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the integrity of financial information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. This is essential to support management in making informed decisions for business growth.
• Preparing and verifying financial statements.
• Verifying vendor invoices against goods delivery notes and obtaining approval for services rendered.
• Reconciling bank balances to maintain effective financial control.
• Reviewing and ensuring correct deduction of Withholding Tax (WHT) from Vendor Invoices and prompt remittance to the respective tax authorities (FIRS and LIRS).
• Assisting in preparing monthly/quarterly financial analysis reports for management.
• Assisting with financial modeling and supporting the business by reviewing cost and sales price calculations.
• Providing general accounting support to the finance team.
• Assisting with accounts receivable management.
• Supporting the annual budgeting process.
• Presenting data-driven recommendations to management.
• Carrying out any other duties delegated by a Senior Officer.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Accounting software.
• Strong understanding of business bookkeeping procedures.
• Solid knowledge of accounting regulations.

Nice to Have:

• Membership in ICAN and ACCA is an added advantage.
• Excellent math skills with keen attention to detail.
• High integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong time-management skills.

Salary

• N50,000 per month plus bonuses and benefits.
