Job Title: Accounts and Finance Officer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Overview
- We are looking for an Accounts and Finance Officerto manage financial transactions, support budgeting, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll, tax preparation, and handle general office administration to ensure smooth operations.
- The Accounts and Finance Officeis a thought-partner and reports to the Managing Director (MD).
- You will be the go-to person for everything involving Accounting&Finance.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs which clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements using Power BI or Excel.
- Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results to budgetsandforecasts.
- Prepare tax documentation and ensure compliance with regulations
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the MD; assess any changes necessary.
- Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements.
- Recommend updates to and implement all approved business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department’s overall policy and procedure manual.
- Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to the MD.
- Contact clients to capture timely payments.
Requirements / Qualifications
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
- At least 2-3 years of overall professional experience
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like PowerBIorTableau.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritizeand work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to provide leadership to a team and to work in a team environment

Salary
- N240,000 – N270,000 monthly (plus benefits).
