Job Title: Administrative Officer (Charity Organization Experience)

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking an Administrative Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support.
  • The ideal candidate will assist in the smooth running of the organization’s services and contribute to the implementation of its objectives.
  • This position is integral to the organization’s day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Sorting, acknowledging, responding to, or redirecting incoming mail as appropriate.
  • Answering telephone calls and transferring to the appropriate member of the executive council, ensuring inquiries are dealt with promptly.
  • Organizing periodic Executive Council and Trustee meetings, preparing agendas, compiling and taking minutes, and ensuring reports are distributed in advance.
  • Maintaining a record of all non-members’ donations and ensuring proper acknowledgment letters are sent out.
  • Keeping a record of members’ monthly donations and liaising with those with outstanding payments in collaboration with the treasurer.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of regular monthly donations to other organizations and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Assisting in planning and executing events as directed by the Executive Council.
  • Collaborating with the secretary to develop and distribute the monthly newsletter to all members.
  • Managing and updating accounts across social media platforms: Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+, Pinterest, WhatsApp Group, and any other platforms directed by the Director of Public and Government Relations.
  • Administering the creation and publishing of high-quality content across platforms.
  • Supporting the Director of Public and Government Relations in monitoring and posting updates on online forums.
  • Assisting the Director of Public and Government Relations in developing a social media strategy and ensuring consistent messaging.
  • Maintaining proactive communication on all allocated social media accounts.
  • Staying updated on trends and developments within the social media field, relevant to the organization’s goals.
  • Promptly escalating issues or problems to the chairperson or relevant Executive Council members as they arise.
  • Performing any other duties deemed necessary by the Executive Council.

Requirements

  • A Degree in any subject.
  • Experience in charity organizations and social media management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly in email, internet, and basic website maintenance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to write clear reports.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Passion for the mission and objectives of the organization.

Salary

  • N140,000 Monthly.
