1). Marine Engineer II

Main Functions

  • Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by Contractors and sub-contractors to ensure that work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitates effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the team’s goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • Assures accurate and timely communication among the team and other company Functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues.
  • In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Task and Responsibilities
In addition to all Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, a Level 2:

  • Design and oversee testing, installation, and repair of marine apparatus and equipment.
  • Conduct analytical, environmental, operational, or performance studies in order to develop designs for products, such as marine engines, equipment, and structures.
  • Prepare, or direct the preparation of, product or system layouts and detailed drawings and schematics.
  • Evaluate operation of marine equipment during acceptance testing and shakedown cruises.
  • Analyze data in order to determine feasibility of product proposals.
  • Confer with research personnel in order to clarify or resolve problems, and to develop or modify designs.
  • Investigate and observe tests on machinery and equipment for compliance with standards.
  • Conduct environmental, operational, or performance tests on marine machinery and equipment.
  • Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted, as well as sequences and phases of test operations.
  • Maintain and coordinate repair of marine machinery and equipment for installation on vessels.
  • Inspect marine equipment and machinery in order to draw up work requests and job specifications.
  • Review work requests, and compare them with previous work completed on ships in order to ensure that costs are economically sound.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marine or Civil Engineering or related Engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications

2). Aviation Supervisor III

Location: Nigeria

Main Functions

  • Supervision of daily aviation operations at Airbase Operations in country. Coordinate and develop flight schedules based on passenger bookings and available contracted helicopters and fixed wing in a manner that minimizes cost and provides a safe air transportation service.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Airbase Operations as the staging area for movement of personnel to and from offshore. Manage and steward the Aviation Contract. Participate in aviation contract development and evaluations and develop a close working relationship with ExxonMobil Aviation Services (Dallas) on pertinent issues and reviews.
  • Supervise the daily airbase facilities and related operations, inclusive of the aviation service provider. Ensure all contracted aircraft operate to safe and approved standards as detailed in approved Logistics Manual, ExxonMobil Aviation Operations Guide and industry best practices.
  • Use the Personnel Tracking System as a tool to plan and schedule helicopter and fixed wing flights supporting onshore and offshore operations, and tracking performance indicators.
  • Supervise relevant contracts associated with the upkeep of airbase facilities, safety briefing rooms, waiting lounges, checking counters, mail room, baggage handling rooms, security scanning machines, and weighing equipment.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in an  aviation supervisory position, relating to airport and heliport infrastructure, aircraft operations and aviation safety
  • Hands-on local in-country experience, with local aviation operations
  • Has ability to understand airport and heliport scenarios and problems, and develop and execute structured plans and solutions
  • Advanced ability in identifying risks and facilitating solutions for improved performance of airport operations
  • Management of rotary and fixed wing flight operations and maintenance requirements
  • Management of airports and heliports
  • Knowledge of the Company Aviation Operations Guide and Local Area Supplement
  • Promote good public relations with other stakeholder organizations, the regulators, air operators and airport personnel
  • Promote and lead by example in the areas of quality and continuous improvement, safe work practices
  • Knowledge of airport and heliport infrastructure and maintenance requirements, including fire systems, navigation aids, security and lighting systems
  • Understanding of aircraft performance and the influence of altitude and temperature
  • Understanding of aircraft maximum payload and how it is penalized by fuel requirements, altitude and temperature

3). Quality Control Engineer – Lifting Assurance

Job Purpose and Objectives

  • To carry out activities that will monitor and verify EPC Contractor compliance with the technical requirements of Lifting, hoisting, and rigging activities in the execution of Project activities.

Main Accountabilities
The responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Review and approve lifting plans, rigging studies as necessary to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.
  • Liaise with the HSE focal on competence of lifting personnel to assure safe lifting operations.
  • Conduct quality control and inspection activities as defined in the Quality Plan and the Contractors Inspection and Test Plans for Lifting activities.
  • Implement quality surveillance program for effective monitoring of Contractor Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities.
  • Perform audits of lifting equipment/appliances and lifting operations to assure compliance to project procedures and codes and standards.
  • Conducting and verify lifting plans as per project procedures and requirements.
  • Monitor lifting appliance maintenance program for compliance.
  • Coordinate the activities of third-party inspection agencies that will be deployed to supplement Company quality surveillance activities.
  • Monitor Contractor Quality records and verify reports, to support the Faultless Project Delivery Program.
  • Review the resolution of field NCR action items.

  • Zero lifting and rigging related issues.
  • 100% Compliance to quality surveillance program.
  • 100% compliance lifting quality audit program.
  • Zero incident of application of unapproved Lifting Plans.
  • Zero overdue lifting equipment inspection task
  • 100% verification of lifting equipment inspection personnel.

Job Requirements
Educational Qualification:

  • B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and
  • Certification in Advanced Rigging and Lifting Operations, Lifting Operations Planning and Risk Assessment, mobile crane assurance inspection reputable Lifting Equipment Institution with approved certification program.

Experience:

  • 12-15 years proven experience with heavy lifts, complex lifts, tandem lifts, Lifting Assurance, etc.
  • Good knowledge of best engineering practices and international codes & standards
  • Proficiency in the use of basic MS Office computer applications.
