Job Title: Backend Development Intern

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos (Remote)

Employment Type: Internship

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend services using NestJS.
• Work with MongoDB for data modeling, querying, and management.
• Build and optimize robust APIs to support frontend
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews, brainstorming sessions, and team meetings.
• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability of applications.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in backend development.

Skills and Qualifications

• Basic understanding of backend development principles.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.

Technologies to Know:
Programming Languages:

• JavaScript and TypeScript (proficiency required).

Frameworks:

• NestJS (experience with similar Node.js frameworks like Express is a plus).

Databases:

• MongoDB (understanding of Mongoose or similar ODM libraries is beneficial).

Tools and Platforms:

• Postman or similar tools for API testing.
• Git for version control and collaboration.

APIs:

• RESTful API development and integration.
