Job Overview

  • Aniso Specialist Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Billing & Office Assistant to support our billing, HMO, and administrative operations.
  • This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to gain practical experience in a supportive healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process HMO claims, track submissions, and follow up on approvals.
  • Review and prepare accurate billing statements based on HMO tariffs.
  • Review and cross-check HMO tariffs.
  • Reconcile cashier reports and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Maintain organized billing documentation for easy reference and audits.
  • Handle email communications related to HMO claims, inquiries, and billing issues.
  • File and update hospital documents in accordance with administrative protocols.
  • Conduct office errands, such as delivering official documents and correspondence.
  • Provide administrative support to the Billing/Accounts department, assisting with routine tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualification: OND in Accounting, Business Administration, Medical records, Health Technology or a related field.
  • 1-3 years work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel is an added advantage.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing financial transactions and billing data.
  • Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies in records and billing claims.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external HMO representatives.
  • Basic customer service skills to assist patients with billing inquiries.
  • Must reside in Benin city as those outside Benin would not be considered.
