Job Title: Building Management System Operator

Location: Abuja

Job Summary:

  • This is a full-time on-site role as a BMS Operator/Technician located in Abuja at Tsebo Rapid Nigeria Limited.
  • The BMS Operator/Technician is responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Building Management System to ensure optimal performance of building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control the Building Management System to ensure building systems operate efficiently.
  • Perform regular system checks to identify and address faults. Experience in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
  • Conduct routine maintenance on BMS hardware and software.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with HVAC, lighting, and other connected systems.
  • Maintain and repair sensors, controllers, and other BMS components. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Analyze energy data to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Adjust settings and schedules to maximize system efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Prepare regular reports on system efficiency and incident resolution.
  • Ensure all BMS operations comply with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Implement energy conservation measures in line with organizational policies.
  • Work closely with facility management, contractors, and other technical teams to ensure smooth building operations.
  • Assist in training staff on the use of BMS tools and equipment.

Education & Experience:

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in BMS operations, maintenance, or a related role.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in BMS software (e.g., Tridium, Siemens, Honeywell).
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and control systems.
  • Basic understanding of IT networks and their integration with BMS.
