Job Title: Chemist Trainee

Job Summary
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemist Trainee to join our mining operations in Kaduna.
- This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and safety-focused industrial laboratory.
- The successful candidate will support chemical analysis, process monitoring, and quality control related to mineral extraction and processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting chemical and physical analysis of mineral samples and raw materials.
- Prepare reagents and standard solutions as directed by the senior chemist.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Collect and prepare samples from mining sites in accordance with set procedures.
- Record, interpret, and report test results accurately and timely.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Support research and development activities to improve product quality and process efficiency.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of chemicals and laboratory supplies.
- Participate in training programs and continuous learning initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- B.Sc./HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field (Minimum 2:2 or Upper Credit).
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and chemical analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in a mining and industrial environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
