Job Title: Civil Engineer—Lead Auditor

Job Summary:
- We are looking for a Civil Engineer – Lead Auditor with a strong background in civil and structural engineering, quality assurance, and auditing to oversee technical audits in refineries and infrastructure projects.
- This role is responsible for evaluating the integrity, compliance, and performance of civil works such as foundations, structures, drainage systems, roads, and earthworks against industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead civil and structural engineering audits across refinery plants, terminals, and infrastructure projects.
- Evaluate construction practices, design documents, materials, and workmanship for compliance with standards such as ACI, ASTM, ASCE, ISO, API, and local codes.
- Develop and implement audit plans, checklists, and procedures tailored to the civil engineering scope and project risk areas.
- Inspect and assess the condition of concrete structures, steel frameworks, foundations, paving, drainage, and earthworks.
- Review design drawings, specifications, soil investigation reports, structural analysis, and load-bearing calculations.
- Conduct field audits to verify as-built vs. design compliance, structural stability, and construction quality.
- Identify non-conformities, unsafe construction practices, and deterioration risks; recommend corrective measures.
- Ensure adherence to quality management systems (QMS) and HSE standards.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with root cause analysis and follow-up action plans.
- Collaborate with EPC contractors, project managers, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Support continuous improvement and contribute to asset integrity assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Certified QMS Lead Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 Lead Auditor) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 15+ years of civil engineering experience, including 7 years in auditing, QA/QC, or inspection.
- Prior experience in refineries, oil & gas facilities, or large infrastructure projects is essential.
Skills & Competencies:
- Sound knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles and materials.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, API, BS, Eurocodes).
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret complex civil/structural drawings, specs, and calculations.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
- Skilled in conducting risk-based audits and interfacing with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience using audit management tools, inspection software, or BIM platforms is an advantage.
Preferred Certifications:
- ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 Lead Auditor
- API 650 / 653 or ASME-related qualifications
- PMP or Construction Management.
