Title: Communications and Social Media Intern
Location: Nyanya, Abuja (FCT)

Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Social Media Manager at the foundation located in Nyanya, Abuja, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive social media strategy with a priority focus on the foundation’s activities and projects.
- Leading social media campaigns to increase likes and followership on all platforms by 5 times by the end of the year.
- Leading all social media campaigns to help the organization achieve its goals.
- Ensuring that social media efforts contribute to fundraising for the foundation’s projects.
- Creating engaging social media content using storytelling, vox pops, and video content models.
- Collaborating closely with project teams and others to develop and share content related to project news and learnings.
- Defining, monitoring, and evaluating important social media analytics.
- Monitoring SEO and web metrics/user engagement and suggesting content optimization strategies.
- Developing field success stories alongside the knowledge management unit to humanize the project.
- Collaborating with copywriters, designers, and colleagues to create visually appealing content and schedule campaigns.
- Utilizing the latest social media best practices and technologies.
- Leveraging relationships with industry professionals and influencers to promote project content.
- Building the capacity of relevant foundation staff in social media management skills.
- Ensuring effective moderation and strong community management for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn communities.
- Communicating with followers, responding to queries promptly, and monitoring customer reviews.
- Overseeing all social media accounts, including managing design elements such as Facebook timeline covers and profile pictures.
- Suggesting and implementing new features to enhance brand awareness, including promotions and competitions.
- Creating communication and marketing plans across the entire organization.
- Setting specific objectives and reporting on return on investment (ROI).
- Supporting the Communications Team in repurposing and creating fresh content for regular eNewsletters and other direct communication channels.
- Expanding digital dissemination outlets for information sharing, including websites, webinars, social media, videos, data visualizations, infographics, and email listservs.
Skills Requirements:
Interested candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A Degree with 2-3 years of experience.
- A solid understanding and proven experience in using various social media platforms and content marketing, particularly for advertising and branding.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills suitable for different platforms.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately.
- Organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Project and campaign management skills.
Salary:
- The salary for this position ranges from N40,000 to N50,000 per month.
