Job Summary

  • We seek an experienced and skilled Chef to oversee the culinary operations of our restaurant.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the kitchen team, creating menus, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu planning and creation: Develop and implement new menus, recipes, and culinary concepts to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Kitchen management: Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Team leadership: Lead, motivate, and train kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Food safety and hygiene: Ensure that the kitchen complies with all relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
  • Inventory management: Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Customer service: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their culinary needs are met.
  • Budgeting and cost control: Manage kitchen budgets, control costs, and ensure that financial targets are met.

Requirements

  • OND / Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef or Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or food service establishment with a speciality in Western delicacies.

Skills:

  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of international cuisine.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Certifications: Food Safety Certification.
