Job Overview
- We’re looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to high-quality care.
- The Customer Service Representative will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing them with clear information, assistance, and direction. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to handle various inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients, families, and visitors upon arrival and provide assistance with questions, check-ins, and directions.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to general inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate departments.
- Assist patients with appointment scheduling, registration, and billing inquiries.
- Handle patient concerns and complaints promptly, escalating issues to management as needed.
- Communicate hospital policies and procedures to patients and visitors in a courteous manner.
- Update patient records, contact information, and assist with the collection of necessary paperwork.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and service delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive patient information in all interactions.
- Support the hospital’s commitment to a welcoming and safe environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a customer service role, especially in a healthcare or medical setting, is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with hospital management systems is beneficial.
- Bilingual skills are an asset.
