Title: Disruption and Innovation Senior Manager

Location: Lagos

The Disruption and Innovation Senior Manager should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for insights, storytelling, and analysis. This individual should be curious, driven and highly motivated; they can connect the dots, see the bigger picture and are willing to roll up their sleeves to bring their passion for insights and disruption to life in the market. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills (both verbal and written), strong presentation skills and be able to build strong professional relationships with senior leaders and other key stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Stay on top of trends in digital disruption and the innovation economy, and the impact of these trends
  • Proactively provide external and internal views of innovation trends, policy and economic impacts, growth opportunities, innovation and other disruptors
  • Play a key role in identifying the key insights to drive thought leadership in the market, (e.g. speaking engagements, articles, social media, etc.)
  • Maintain an understanding of the positioning of our competitors to identify and exploit opportunities and white space.
  • Navigate and collaborate with other internal LOS and teams locally and globally, Industry Leaders, Innovation Leaders in Nigeria and globally
  • Foster innovation through the exploration of new tools and techniques to continually evolve the quality and volume of insights.
  • Provides intelligence, analysis and support on other projects and requests
  • Adopt and apply a forward-looking mind-set by setting sights on what is next on the horizon from an industry, technology or other perspectives
  • Integrate data from multiple sources both internal and external to deliver insights in the form of reports, presentations, and dashboards to effectively tell the story of the insights
  • Business development and positioning the firm to win work in the market

What you bring to the role

  • Well-developed business acumen and analytical capabilities with the ability to consolidate inputs into clear and concise analysis, trends, and recommendations
  • 7 to 10 years relevant work experience in insights, market analysis, business analysis, consulting
  • A generalist mindset with a desire to learn, share and collaborate, and a positive attitude to ‘get it done’.
  • Must be able to take initiative, be self-motivated and can work independently and as a member of a team in a virtual environment
  • Critical thinking, writing, presentation, attention to detail and project management skills, including time-sensitive projects
  • Excellent storytelling and presenting skills
  • Able to quickly develop a strong understanding of our business, markets and competitors
  • Ability to think out of the box, provide new insights and intelligence and connect the dots of information to tell a story Strong people skill, personable and inquisitive
  • Ability to effectively communicate and socialize with senior stakeholders
  • Highly organized and detailed focused, proactive, adapts well to, and embraces, change, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding environment
  • Intellectually curious, always learning, highly motivated, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking professional
  • Extensive reading/podcast habits that stay connected to the digital & innovation trendsetters in the market.
