Job Title: Drilling Manager

About the Role
- We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Drilling Manager to lead and oversee drilling operations across our oil and gas assets.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of drilling programs in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- This is a strategic leadership position that requires strong technical expertise, operational excellence, and team management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of drilling operations, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and manage drilling budgets, schedules, and operational performance indicators.
- Oversee rig operations, well design, and engineering plans in collaboration with geoscience, HSE, and field teams.
- Select and manage drilling contractors and service providers, ensuring performance standards are met.
- Troubleshoot drilling issues and provide expert solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with local and international drilling regulations and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in drilling operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong technical knowledge of onshore/offshore drilling practices and well control.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, teams, and contractors effectively.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid IWCF or equivalent well control certification is an added advantage.
