Job Title: Embedded Systems Engineer

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop embedded firmware for microcontrollers and IoT systems.
  • Build, test, and debug embedded systems prototypes using platforms like Arduino, STM32, ESP32, etc.
  • Collaborate with the product design team to integrate electronics into hardware systems.
  • Conduct circuit design and PCB development using tools such as KiCad or Altium.
  • Perform bench testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
  • Maintain software repositories and manage version control using Git.
  • Support technical training and assist participants or interns on embedded-related projects.
  • Prepare documentation and technical reports on all embedded systems-related activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience working with microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, BLE, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of electronics principles, power systems, and circuit protection.
  • Familiarity with PCB layout and schematic design.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation habits.

Education:

  • Experience and proficiency in the above Duties & Responsibilities and Required Skills sections will be weighed above any educational qualifications. Applicants not possessing the above-listed degrees should not be discouraged from applying.
  • It is preferred that applicants possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Optional:

  • Knowledge of low-power systems and energy efficiency techniques
  • Ability to simulate and model electronic systems
  • Experience with cloud-connected or wireless IoT devices.

Salary

  • N100,000 – N150,000 Monthly.
