We are set up for the purpose of providing mortgage loans and assisting customers in accessing the National Housing Fund Loan through the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria.

Job Description
- As an Entry-Level Mortgage Officer, you will assist in the loan origination process by guiding clients through the application process and providing excellent customer service.
- Under the supervision of senior team members, you will learn the ins and outs of the mortgage industry, including loan products, underwriting guidelines, and compliance requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the mortgage lending field.
Key Responsibilities
Client Interaction:
- Assist potential clients in understanding mortgage loan products and options that meet their needs.
- Answer questions regarding the mortgage application process, terms, and requirements.
- Conduct initial loan consultations with clients to collect necessary information for loan applications.
Loan Application Processing:
- Collect and verify all documentation required for loan applications, such as income verification, credit reports, and employment records.
- Assist clients in completing mortgage application forms accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure timely submission of documents to underwriting for review.
Data Entry & File Management:
- Input loan application information into the company’s loan origination system and maintain accurate and complete records.
- Monitor the loan process and follow up with clients to obtain any missing or additional documentation.
- Maintain organized files for all loan applications and communicated regularly with clients and other departments.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Learn and follow all applicable state and federal mortgage regulations
- Ensure that all interactions and documentation meet the regulatory standards for the mortgage industry.
Team Support:
- Work closely with senior mortgage officers and loan processors to ensure smooth loan processing.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including coordinating communication between clients, underwriters, and loan officers.
- Participate in regular training and development sessions to build knowledge and stay current with industry trends.
Customer Service:
- Maintain a high level of customer service by being responsive, professional, and empathetic to clients throughout the loan process.
- Address and resolve basic client inquiries and issues under the supervision of senior team members.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred).
Experience:
- No prior mortgage experience is required; however, some experience in customer service or finance is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of financial products and an eagerness to learn more about mortgage lending.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or sales.
- Familiarity with mortgage software or loan origination systems (LOS) is a plus.
