Job Title: Executive Assistant to the COO

Location: Abuja

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

Executive Support:

  • Manage the COO’s calendar, emails, phone calls, and in-person meetings while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and meeting logistics.
  • Prepare meeting materials, document minutes, and track follow-ups.
  • Analyze and distribute incoming communications and ensure timely responses.
  • Monitor critical issues and keep the COO informed.
  • Support budgeting activities, including expense tracking and reimbursements.
  • Oversee special projects and ensure efficient execution.
  • Facilitate departmental events and coordinate logistics.

Partnerships & Ecosystem Development:

  • Conduct industry research and stakeholder assessments to identify trends and partnership opportunities.
  • Support the development of proposals and funding applications for strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with AfriLabs’ goals.
  • Support the engagement with funders, policymakers, and corporate partners to foster sustainable collaborations.
  • Assist in managing partnership initiatives, tracking deliverables, and ensuring follow-ups.
  • Develop data-driven reports and dashboards to communicate research findings to key stakeholders.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of partnerships and funding opportunities to support AfriLabs’ growth objectives.
  • Support the development of new strategies aimed at increasing AfriLabs’ impact, membership, and funding.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite; particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional demeanour and discretion in handling interactions with stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated capacity to perform effectively under pressure, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Ability to demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proven experience in providing administrative support at the executive level.

Salary

  • N400,000 – N500,000 Monthly.
