We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Analyst

Location: Lagos
Job type: Full Time
Job grade: Analyst
Report to: Head of Operations

Job Purpose

  • Cordros Capital Limited needs a Finance a Analyst who is responsible for a wide range of activities including, maintenance of accruals schedule, transactional Tax computation and remittance,etc.
  • We need someone who has experience in stockbroking and asset management finance operations, one who is passionate about this role, consistent and patient.

Responsibilities 

  • Maintenance of fixed asset registers
  • Computation of depreciation on fixed asset
  • Maintenance of accruals schedules
  • Maintenance of prepayment
  • Transactional tax computation and remittance (VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension, ITF and NSITF)
  • Response to tax queries and audit
  • Reconciling of intercompany ledgers
  • Monitoring of account receivables from customers and other subsidiaries
  • Reconciling investment schedules and identifying the income.
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly net liquid capital returns
  • Daily call-over of transactions and postings
  • Posting and approving transactions ledgers and customer accounts
  • Processing of payment to both customers and vendors
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation

Working Relationships

  • Internal: All other departments of the Cordros Group
  • External: Auditors, Tax authorities and Regulators

Work Cycle
Hours/Days the incumbent is required to work:

  • Monday – Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm)
  • Flexible working schedule is also available i.e. remote work

Job Requirements
Educational Qualification and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or any other related discipline.
  • A Second Degree and/or Completion of Relevant Professional Certification like ICAN/ACCA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of Three (3) – Five (5) work experience in Finance

Key Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge:
The incumbent must have proficiency knowledge in the following areas:

  • The use of Microsoft Excel
  • The use of Accounting Software (e.g., Symplus, etc.)

Skills:
The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:

  • Analytical skills
  • Good communication (feedback) skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
