1). Project Manager, OFC Deployment

Job Description
- To Plan, Direct and deploy all identified Network Projects and Programs to ensure high speed of Time-to-Market.
- This role must guarantee synergy, effective and efficient resource utilization, cost optimization and return on investments to deliver on Business goals and +1 Network experience.
Responsibilities
Speed of Execution of Fiber Rollout:
- Support fiber rollout to ensure strict timelines and quality delivery.
- Coordinate 3rd party vendors and ensure quality fiber deployments.
- Coordinate active equipment installation and integration to the LIVE OFC network.
- Strict adherence and full implementation to set or establish technical specification by the operator for OFC Deployment.
- Strict adherence and implementation of the Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) policies of the company. Restoration of the site to its original state after the project and, most importantly, keeping the environment clean after working.
- Daily, weekly submission of snag reports during implementation which will form part of the criteria to be used in benchmarking contractor’s performance.
- Generation of site Audit reports after the project completion as a tool for cutting down on expense i.e. jobs not executed in the PO would not be paid for.
- Conduction of both the pre & final civil acceptance test in line with the industry standards.
- Determine scope, budget and schedules for OSP projects
- Coordinate project schedules
- Create and implement technical inspection and quality assurance procedures.
- Develop, design tools and methodology for fiber optic cables
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to secure ROW and other approvals
Logistics and Project Management:
- Adhere to the departmental process, which is aligned with the PMI process for all site materials delivery and integration
Regulatory and Statutory Compliance:
- Adhere strictly to regulatory and all statutory permissions required for site rollout
Partner and Supply Chain Management:
- Suggest new ideas for Improving Fiber rollout and OFC subcontractor performance to ensure regular follow-up and objective measurements.
- Track and follow up on material delivery and usage on the routes
- Ensure and coordinate various activities with Supply Chain Management for Warehousing & Dispatching of network elements to specific locations.
- Developing a win-win relationship by setting common goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
- University Degree or HND in Engineering.
- Professional qualification in Project Management Techniques
Relevant Experience & Functional Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of Fiber Optics Deployment experience.
- 6-8 years’ experience in the Telecom sector
- At least 2 years of project management experience in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of transmission networks.
- Experience in Fiber Optic Deployment, troubleshooting and general understanding of Fiber Optic cable design and theory.
- Experience in managing multiple complex Network projects simultaneously
- Evidence of successful project delivery with wide geographical spread
- In depth knowledge of Fiber Optics cabling and ability to supervise OSP projects.

2). Manager, Company Secretariat & Legal Governance

Job Description
- This position will manage the Company Secretariat of the Company and supervise corporate governance generally.
- The scope of work includes arranging all Board meetings, all Board Committees meetings, corporate filings, Annual General Meetings; and managing the various Governance Codes applicable to the Company, maintaining and implementing Airtel Networks Limited’s corporate governance framework and generally assisting the Company Secretary in running the affairs of the Company Secretariat.
Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate the review and presentation of Board paper
- Preparation of Notices of Board of Directors meetings and Board Committee meetings and General Meetings
- Collation and preparation of Board papers and Board Committee papers from various internal teams for preparation of the Board Pack;
- Timeous dispatch of Notices, Committee Packs, Board Packs and other Documentations for the Meetings of the Board of Directors, various Committees of the Board.
- Attending, advising and preparation of the Minutes of the Meetings of the Board of Directors and all Committees of the Board.
- Drafting of all Board Resolutions and Shareholder including written resolutions and ensuring that approved resolutions are executed and filed appropriately
- Preparation of and response to correspondence to or from Directors, Shareholders, officers of the Company, Government Agencies, Corporate organizations and the general public.

- Liaising with Non-Executive Directors and Shareholders representatives and generally handling issues that relate to their welfare;
- Ensuring smooth relations and interface with other Divisions within the Company-on-Company Secretarial matters and corporate documents and records.
- Ensuring that the Company meets all Governance requirements stipulated in the Companies and Allied Matters Act and other relevant legislation.
- Preparation, collation and filing of Quarterly Compliance Certificate returns to Head Office and Regulators as at when due.
- Effective monitoring of the various State Legislature across the country with a view to ensuring compliance with all Governance requirements stipulated for the business.
- Ensuring that dividends are paid out to each shareholder as soon as they are declared by the Company.
- Ensuring that the at all times the Company meets all extant Corporate Governance Codes including the Internal Company Board Charter, the Bharti Airtel Code of Corporate Governance, the NCC Code of Corporate Governance and other extant Codes of Corporate Governance binding on the Company
- Any other corporate governance responsibility which may be assigned to him/her by the Director.
- Ensuring that Board evaluation exercise is properly done when due and reported accordingly.
- Ensuring that periodic training is organized for the Directors to boost their efficiency
- Liaising with the Airtel Head Office to ensure that vacancies in the Board of Directors is filled as at when due without a failure of corporate governance.
- Dealing with all requests for corporate records from the company’s business partners whilst ensuring the confidentiality of the records
- Implementation of effective Corporate governance practices
- Implementation of the Company’s ethics program and administration of the Code of Conduct.
- Interface with internal units on group specific training and ensuring corporate standards are met.
- Ensure companywide declarations are adhered to and maintain governance related records
- Formulation and management of the annual budget of the Company Secretariat and Governance division in accordance with the financial delegation of authority guide advisors

Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent such as BA (Law) or J.D
- Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL);
- Master of Laws (LLM) degree may be an added advantage
- Member of Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrator will be an advantage.
- Certification in any corporate governance training will be an advantage
Relevant Experience & Functional Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years post call experience of law, part of which must include experience in a corporate setting or law firm with corporate practice.

Job Description
- This role acts as the representative for Business, Technical and Functional requirements in IP Packet backbone solutions to support both Mobile and Enterprise services.
- The role will define the optimal topology of the IP core network to meet a premium service level agreements and industry architecture for next generation IP networks, evaluate network design and define integrated planning/implementation criteria and guidelines with partners for capacity management and dimensioning of the IP core network, evaluate delivery of IP projects to designed SLAs whilst exploring the most efficient ways to deliver any new functional requirements placed upon the Mobile Network which includes but not limited to voice, data and other services.
Responsibilities
MPBN Core Planning and Architecture:
- Analyze business requirements and processes before converting ideas into a solution design; where required, research into new technology and development in Telecommunication industry with regards to IP packet backbone and Data services.
- Liaise with partner teams, Airtel HQ and other departments to ensure seamless IP packet backbone solutions
- Manage architecture, implementation, and deployment of key networks systems through the full delivery life cycle from initial design to full operational handover.
- Ensure that all IP backbone and edge devices are functioning as per the business and network requirements.
- Provide pathway towards establishing a seamless backbone network leveraging MPLS, SR-MPLS, SRv6 and SDN
- Handshake with IPRAN, Transmission and Enterprise Networks in establishing end-to-end transport solutions.
- Manage expansion, upgrade and design of switch fabric Network (Leaf & Spine based) solutions from central controllers
Detailed and Effective Documentation:
- Ensure that project-related documentation reflects a fit-for-purpose design and compiles with the contractual vendor requirements.
- On concept of solutions proffered and prior to implementation, documentation in the form of SD, HLD and LLD designs should be prepared to include technical functionality, platform design and platform integration with relevant network elements.
- Update all IP Core documentation and topology to reflect running solution.
- Manage IP Network addressing and allocation for entire network including Access (IPRAN)
Capacity planning & Optimization:
- Perform adequate dimensioning of all IP nodes, interfaces – in accordance with network growth and projections.
- Handshake with transmission on Submarine/fiber capacity required to support projected MPBN core and Edge interface capacity.
- Optimize existing solutions where necessary to improve capacity utilization, enhance user experience and save network resources.
- Ensure planning is actual with very minimal or no inventory left over in ordered equipment for capacity expansion/upgrade
Expand & Evolve Core Network:
- Translate business requirements into IP Backbone requirements.
- Responsible for planning all expansion of nodes well in advance in primary area of responsibility.
- Plan evolution of IP backbone to best industry practices
Employee Engagement:
- Hold necessary Kick off meetings with stakeholders where/when required.
- Always maintain high team harmony and engagement with both internal and external teams and stakeholders.
- Manage delivery of internal projects relating to IP Backbone from solution to go-live
- Advise other stakeholder networks on best connection practices to the backbone network.
Vendor/Partner Management:
- Ensuring that partners deliver projects with quality, speed and with zero to minimal impact on network services.
- Manage assigned Projects from Ordering to delivery; Hold kick-off and recurrent governance meetings with Vendors to ensure full control and smooth delivery
New Initiatives:
- Explore new initiatives which meet business requirements by developing and delivering innovative solutions to support business growth.
- Technology assessments and POC trials (RFI/RFP/RFQ). Verification of solutions before roll-out
Time management:
- Prioritize self-workload as required to meet the fluctuating demands of business and requirements from other stakeholders
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s of Telecommunication / Electronic Engineering degree/Computer Science
Relevant Experience & Functional / Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 6 – 8 years working experience in large Mobile/ISP Network Operator
- Multivendor experience – HUAWEI, CISCO, JUNIPER, ALCATEL LUCENT will be an advantage.
- Detailed understanding of IP Routing and switching
- SDN and Automation experience in IP Core will be an added advantage.
- Good project management Skills
- Experience in measuring, analyzing and interpreting IP Networks Key performance indicators
- Detailed knowledge of IP operations in Telecoms or Provider network.
- Analytical and Presentation skills
- Detailed understanding of IP backbone technologies – MPLS, SR-MPLS, SRv6, MP-BGP, EVPN etc and their roles in delivery Telecommunications services
