1). Bursar
Location: Otukpo, Benue
Duties
- The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.
Qualities and Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following:
- A minimum of First Degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration from a recognized university;
- Membership of any of the following Professional Accounting bodies:
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria
- Association of National Accountants of Nigeria
- Association of Certified Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACCA)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of United Kingdom, Scotland or Ireland (UK)
- Institute of Cost and Management Association
- Must have at least, a minimum of 17 years working experience in a University or similar Institution; Fifteen (15) of which must be in University Bursary;
- Must be serving officer not below the rank of Deputy Bursar in the University system;
- Must not be above the age of sixty (60) years on the 12th May, 2025.
- Be of good health, sound judgment, pleasant disposition, and unassailable integrity.
- Candidates may please note that Possession of relevant higher degrees or postgraduate qualifications in related disciplines and proficiency in ICT will be an added advantage.
Conditions of Service
- The appointment is for a single tenure of five (5) years only.

2). Vice-Chancellor
Location: Otukpo, Benue
The Job
The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Accounting and Academic Officer of the University, ex-officio member of Council and Chairman of the Senate and Congregation. Among his/her other functions, the Vice Chancellor shall:
- At all times advise the Council on any matter affecting the finance, and administration of the University;
- Be responsible to the Council for maintaining peace, order and efficient management of the affairs of the university and ensuring the enforcement of the laws, Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations of the University;
- Be responsible to Council for discipline in the University;
- Regulate the admission of students subject to the guidelines and procedures approved by the University Senate and other statutory organs of the University.
Qualities and Qualifications
An applicant for the post of Vice-Chancellor of the University must possess the following qualities and qualifications:
- Be a university lecturer of the rank of Professor, attained for at least 10 years in any field of health sciences in highly regarded and reputable institutions;
- Be a person of high academic standing and reputation in his/her respective discipline;
- Must be familiar and conversant with developmental, academic and other complex managerial problems of a large university;
- Have extensive and deep experience in all facets of university administration;
- Have been a Head of Academic Department or Dean of Faculty or Provost of College or Deputy Vice-Chancellor or member of Governing Council of a University
- Unbroken service in the academia in the last ten (10) years;
- Possess Medical Fellowship or PhD degree in a relevant field, preferably in a health sciences discipline;
- Provide evidence of successful supervision of postgraduate students especially at the Ph. D or Medical Fellowship level;
- Provide in not more than one thousand (1000) words, his/her vision for the University;
- Be a person who commands respect nationally and internationally, especially in academic circles;
- Be an individual who, judging from his/her track record, should command respect and loyalty of members of staff and students of the University;
- Be morally sound and of unimpeachable character, probity and integrity
- Be a person who is physically and mentally fit, and in a state of good health
- Be not more than 65 years old at the time of assumption of office.

- The remuneration and conditions of service are as applicable to posts of Vice-Chancellor in all Nigerian Federal Universities, and as determined by the Government from time to time.

3). University Librarian
Location: Otukpo, Benue
Duties
- The University Librarian is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and co-ordination of all Library Services in the University.
Qualifications and Experience
The Candidate:
- Must possess a Ph.D. Degree in Library Science related fields from a recognized university
- Must be a Member of relevant Professional bodies
- Must have at least, a minimum of 15 years of relevant post-qualification working experience in Librarianship, including some years in an upper Management position in a University or similar Institution
- Must be serving officer not below the rank of Deputy Librarian; v. Must not be above the age of sixty (60) years on 12th May, 2025;
- Must possess good human relations and exhibit considerable ability and competence in Librarianship. He/she must also have extensive and in-depth knowledge of the University system;
- The Library, being the centre of Academic activities of the University requires a Librarian with a proven record of research, publications and administration.
- Be of good health, sound judgment, pleasant disposition, and unassailable integrity.

Registrar
Location: Otukpo, Benue
The Position
- The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day general administrative work of the University.
- The Registrar shall also be the Secretary to Council, the Senate, Convocation and Congregation of the University and shall perform any other duties that may be assigned to him/her by Council and the Vice-Chancellor.
- The successful candidate will be required, among other things, to train, give good professional leadership to administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective professional administrative performance.
Qualifications and Experience
The Candidate:
- Must possess at least a Second Class Lower Degree in Social Sciences or Humanities from a recognized University
- Must have at least, a minimum of 15 years cognate working experience in a University Administration.
- Must be serving officer not below the rank of Deputy Registrar in a
- recognized University
- Must not be above the age of sixty (60) years on 12th May, 2025
- Be a member of at least one relevant professional body e.g. ANUPA, IPMD, NIM, etc.
- Be of good health, sound judgment, pleasant disposition, and unassailable integrity; and,
- Possession of higher degree(s) in relevant programme and proficiency in ICT will be an added advantage.
