1). Drilling and Wells QAQC Supervisor

Location: Rivers

Job Description

  • Provide reports regularly (daily/weekly) on HSE and Operational activities to the head of materials & QA/QC
  • Liaises with Drilling & Wells teams, TechLog, relevant entities, and Contractors to ensure optimization of Management, Inspection, QA/QC, and well equipment preparation.
  • Liaise with contractors and organize delivery and collection of equipment, to ensure optimal usage and value for money and avoid rental equipment to standby, misuse, or damage.
  • Works with other engineers and supervisors, shares experience and best practices, initiates and reviews documents, and provides constructive feedback.
  • Maintain good communication with all entities at OML 58 and between logistics sites (Onne, New Pipe yard) to ensure smooth management of equipment and materials.

Technical:

  • Has in-depth knowledge and experience in QA/QC and Inspection technologies, and techniques (MPI, DPT, UST, EC, etc.)
  • Understand the application of various inspection standards & codes (API, ASTM, ASNT, etc) in defining rejection criteria after inspection
  • Has good knowledge of all Drilling & Wells functions i.e., Drilling, Completions, Intervention, Well Integrity, and Fluids
  • Participate in the Company sharing of professional experience through REX
  • Follows up on Preparation, Testing, and Loading of equipment & materials stored at the site for Drilling, Completion, and Intervention operations
  • Prepare and implement storage, Inspection & Maintenance plans in line with Company and industry standards for Equipment and Material at Obite: Short-, medium- and long-term storage
  • Prepare and implement QA/QC (API Q2) plan and procedures in line with company and industry standards for the management of Equipment and Materials at Obite before storage, during storage, and prior to issuance for operations.

Material Management & Logistics:

  • Maintain accurate inventory of all Drilling & Wells as well as 3rd party Equipment / Materials at the Site
  • Closely monitor the stored OCTG for early detection of corrosion/defects: pitting, cuts, dents, thickness loss, etc.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise inspection of Drilling / Wells OCTG according to a defined schedule and well-specific requirements Apply a cost-conscious method and mindset in assessing and confirming rejected tubular (partially defective ones to be recommended for salvaging)
  • Checks loading and off-loading of equipment and materials on behalf of superintendents, in coordination with the logistic supervisor/representative and Site Lifting Specialist
  • Ensures that appropriate equipment is effectively shipped as per instructions, the company’s HSE policies, cargo manifest, and international standards. Proper packaging of material to rig / operational sites is essential
  • Organizes equipment and materials storage for optimized efficiency and control with respect to in/out movement of equipment & materials.
  • Performs entries in UNISUP in relation to Logistics Management and procedures.
  • Follows up on Material Management in close cooperation with stock buyers and warehouse personnel.
  • Raises simple Purchase Requisitions for stock materials and Non-compliance Reports to the purchasing team
  • Manages and stores relevant communication with 3rd parties and contractors with respect to the Obite and associated storage sites.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Initial formal education: Technician
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant technical experience with onshore and offshore Drilling / Well engineering roles
  • Prior experience (desirable): Engineering / Operations / Inspection / Technical Audit roles
  • Very Knowledgeable in drilling engineering/ operations, completion engineering, well interventions, and well integrity.
  • Good knowledge of Oil & Gas Material and equipment, QA/QC and Inspection procedures and Standards, Stock management, Materials handling, and Logistics
  • Knowledge of relevant Regulatory Authorities and Agencies and associated actors in the Oil and Gas space in Nigeria and Internationally.

2). Drilling and Wells Mobilisation Supervisor

Location: Rivers

Job Description

  • Ensuring that all Drilling & Wells and 3rd party equipment & materials for operations are available on time, in proper working condition, and have passed the necessary Premobilization requirements (Certifications/paperwork, etc)
  • Ensure that all Drilling & Wells and 3rd party equipment & materials equipment within the perimeter of the Nigerian affiliate are properly inspected and prepared for mobilization to operational sites in line with predefined guidelines and checklists
  • Ensures proper coordination of materials/resources with other departments (Technical Logistics, Procurement, etc.).

Co-ordination / Organisation:

  • Provide reports regularly (daily/weekly) on HSE and Operational activities to the head of materials & QA/QC
  • Liaises with Drilling & Wells teams, TechLog, relevant entities, and Contractors to ensure optimization of Management, Inspection, QA/QC, and well equipment preparation.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Works with other engineers and supervisors, shares experience and best practices, initiates and reviews documents, and provides constructive feedback.
  • Maintain good communication with all entities at company logistics bases (Onne, OML58, New Pipe yard) and contractor/ 3rd Party Sites to ensure smooth management of equipment and materials.
  • Maintain synergy with the QAQC team (supervisors and support staff) to complement the Inspection, Validation, issuance, and receipt of company and contractor/3rd party equipment / Materials.

Technical:

  • Has good knowledge of all Drilling & Wells functions and associated equipment i.e., Drilling, Completions, Intervention, Well Integrity, and Fluids.
  • Has Good knowledge of Equipment Certifications, Lifting standards, Transportation standards, and Maintenance standards/schedules applicable to the Oil & Gas +Maritime and Transportation industry
  • Has good knowledge and experience in QA/QC and Inspection technologies, and techniques (MPI, DPT, UST, EC, etc.)
  • Understand the application of various inspection standards & codes (API, ASTM, ASNT, etc) in defining rejection criteria after inspection.
  • Prepare and implement equipment/materials mobilization plan (Guidelines/ checklists) and procedures in line with company and industry standards for premobilization of Equipment and Materials at the Company and 3rd party location prior to issuance for operations and during receiving inspection after operations.
  • Follows up on Preparation and Loadout of equipment & materials stored at the site for Drilling, Completion, and Intervention operations
  • Participate in the Company sharing of professional experience through REX
  • Assist with Incident Investigation and Troubleshooting at the company and 3rd Party sites for equipment designated for operations prior to issuance and after operations.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • B.Sc Degree or equivalent in Chemical, Petroleum, or related Engineering (an M.Sc. degree in Safety Engineering or similar is a plus.
  • Typically, 10 years of oil and gas industry professional experience of which at least 5 years in an equivalent position as a Safety & Loss Prevention Engineer.
  • Good knowledge of Loss Prevention standards and procedures and major hazard legislation.
  • Good knowledge of risk assessment techniques and management (HAZOP, HAZID, HAZAN, QRA) and other reviews.
  • Autonomous with investigation/observation skills, effective communication, and organizational capability.

4). ECP Civil Structural Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Carry out preliminary, basic, and detailed engineering studies/in-house design for the Civil and Structural
  • Engineering discipline for on/offshore projects.
  • Supervise engineering and installation works performed by contractors for on/offshore projects.
  • Interacts with third parties such as certifying bodies, Marine Warranty Surveyors, Regulators, etc. to assuring
  • Civil/Structural deliverables.
  • Quality Control and Assure Civil/Structural deliverables.
  • Prepares Civil and Structural General Arrangement Drawings, Specifications, Material Take Of (Design Reports, and other relevant deliverables.
  • Support Technical Evaluation of Civil/Structural Engineering Contractors/Vendors.
  • Prepare Civil and Structural Engineering Scope of Work and Cost Estimating and support Call For Tenders (CFT).
  • Interface with Procurement Dept., Survey and Geomatics, and Projects & Construction sections for resolution of
  • Civil and Structural Engineering concerns.
  • Review and ensure that Civil and Structural Engineering deliverables conform with relevant National Standards,
  • Project Particular Specifications, TOTAL Rules/Specifications, and International Standards.
  • Contribute to Safety Reviews such as Hazard Identification Studies {HAZID).
  • Participate and contribute to Job Risk Assessments (JRA), Constructability reviews, and others as required.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. / B.Eng. (Structures) with 10 – 15 years of experience in an Engineering Organization in a similar design position.
  • Use of Autocad & proficiency in the use of SACS, STAADPro, NSO/ISYMOST (Fastrudl, Isymost) is a must.
  • Knowledge of AVEVA E3D and Microstation are as well able to prepare detailed structural drawings a plus.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Industry Codes and Standards (British Standards, Eurocodes, ISO, API, DNV, etc.)
  • Good Communication in English and Interpersonal skills.
