The Confederation of African Football (CAF) was founded in 1957 by four nations: Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia and South Africa. As the administrative body of the region, CAF manages competitions, offers technical and administrative training courses while actively fostering the promotion and practice of football. The Confederation organizes championships such as the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN or AFCON), the most popular competition. It maintains very close links with FIFA in coordinating tournaments for different events such as the World Cup, Youth and Women competitions and the Olympic Games Football Tournaments.
1). African Schools Program Officer (National Phase)
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Responsibilities
Administration:
- Support in the successful delivery of the African Schools Programme (National, Zonal and Continental).
- Carry out any other tasks necessary to deliver CAF’s strategic and administrative objectives.
- Perform additional duties as required to meet Department priorities
- Preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation for internal or external stakeholders
- Maintaining and updating records of programme key statics
- Assist in the workshops’ organization as well as developing tools for competition management.
Focal Point for National Phase of the African Schools Football Championship:
- Provide regular status reports on the implementation of the National Phase in each of the participating Member Associations
- Communications with the national associations and zonal unions in relation to the African Schools Football Championship
- Follow up on objectives and performance indicators for the championship, with specific focus on improving outcomes for the National Phase.
- Support on the logistical, operational, and organizational requirements for conducting the National Phase of the African Schools Football Championship, ensuring it is executed smoothly and effectively across participating countries.
- Support the team in the successful planning, coordination, and execution of the National Phase of the African Schools Football Championship and ensure the National Phase of the championship is conducted in line with the championship’s overall objectives.
- Cooperate and liaise with relevant stakeholders and Facilitate communication between national stakeholders and the regional body to ensure all phases of the National Phase are aligned with the broader goals of the African Schools Football Championship.
Requirements (Profile)
- A Degree in Sports Management, Education, International Development, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 1 – 3 years of experience in football development, sports management, or working with youth football programs, ideally in Africa or other developing regions.
- Demonstrable understanding in football competition structures, particularly at the grassroots or school level.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently and deliver results on time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on practical, actionable outcomes.

2). African Schools Program Manager
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Support the Director of Member Association in the assessment of the current Championship Model
- Conduct a thorough review of the existing championship structure, rules, and regional participation mechanisms.
- Gather input from key stakeholders, including football federations, schools, coaches, students, and educational authorities across African countries.
- Evaluate the alignment of the championship with current trends in youth football development and international best practices.
- Define clear, measurable objectives and KPIs for championship (e.g., participation rates, player progression, media exposure).
- Create a roadmap for the implementation of the new model, outlining key phases, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Assess the implementation of the school’s football championship at national level and advise on the logistical and operational requirements of.
Stakeholder Engagement & Consultation:
- Engage with African football federations, school networks, sport’s governing bodies, and key development partners to solicit feedback and ensure alignment with national priorities and regional objectives.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to understand their expectations
- Understand regional challenges in Africa (such as infrastructure, funding, gender inclusion, and access to talent) that impact the effectiveness of school football programs.
Requirements (Profile)

- Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, able to work effectively with diverse communities across Africa.

3). Senior Manager – Sporting Infrastructure
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Job Summary
- You believe you have the educational background and professional experience to elevate the organization to the highest international standards? We are looking to recruit a Senior Manager – Sporting Infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Oversee infrastructure compliance and improvements across CAF’s 54 member associations to meet CAF and FIFA standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage inspection visits for CAF competitions, ensuring technical, operational, and safety compliance.
- Develop and manage a pool of infrastructure experts (e.g., pitch, floodlights, stadium safety…)
- Collaborate with CAF departments, consultants, and partners to implement best practices in infrastructure management.
- Ensure consistent oversight of infrastructure across all competitions.
- Align CAF stadium requirements and standards with the local organizing committees during the preparatory phases of all CAF Final Tournaments.
- Supervise stadium preparation for all CAF Final Tournaments and regularly submit reports to top management on the current state and progress of the different infrastructures.
- Establish maintenance plans to be followed during CAF Final Tournaments and ensure stadium authorities are briefed and trained to implement said plans.
- Build a database of information on all CAF homologated stadiums including layouts, key contacts and key challenges.
Requirements (Profile)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or facility management.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sporting infrastructure management.
- Any additional certification related to sports management or business administration is an advantage.
- Strong project management skills with a clear focus on delivery and high-quality standards.
- Ability to build strong relationships in a multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to work smart under pressure and efficiently on multiple project requests simultaneously, and to deal with potential for tight deadlines and unexpected complexities.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Flexible with traveling.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience using event management tools.
- Fluent in English and/or French language both written and spoken; command of any other CAF official languages (English, French, Arabic) is a plus.
