Job Title: Front Desk Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Summary
- The Front Desk Officer is the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees, representing the company’s image.
- This role involves managing the reception area, handling inquiries, providing administrative support, and ensuring a smooth flow of communication within the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate personnel or departments.
- Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area.
- Manage visitor logs and issue security badges.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, taking messages as needed.
- Handle inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Distribute incoming mail and packages.
- Prepare outgoing mail and shipments.
- Provide general administrative support, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.
- Assist with data entry and record keeping.
- Monitor access to the office and ensure security protocols are followed.
- Respond to emergencies and follow established procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Higher National Diploma or equivalent and additional qualifications in office administration or related fields are a plus.
- 3-5 years proven experience as a Front Desk Officer, Receptionist, or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Knowledge of office procedures and basic bookkeeping is a plus.
