Job Title: Front Desk Officer (NYSC)

Job Summary
- As a Front Desk Officer (NYSC) at Beaconhill Smile Clinic, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment.
- Your primary responsibility is to ensure efficient patient reception, schedule appointments, support clinic staff, and maintain smooth front desk operations.
- This role is ideal for an NYSC member seeking to gain valuable experience in healthcare administration and patient care support.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming and courteous atmosphere.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using the clinic’s software system.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and route calls appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Assist in filing, data entry, and administrative support as required by the admin team.
- Communicate effectively with dental staff regarding patient flow and appointment timing.
- Manage billing coordination and follow-up on pending payments, in line with clinic protocols.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in any discipline (preferably in social sciences, humanities, or administration-related field)
- Must be a current NYSC Corps Member
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation and a warm, courteous personality
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Desirable Traits:
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in healthcare or hospitality is an added advantage
- Interest in learning healthcare administration or patient service processes
- Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure
