Job Title: FX Sales Expert (West Africa)

Description
- Multigate is seeking an FX Sales expert with strong skills in communication, attention to detail, strong strategic thinking, and planning skills to join our Treasury team.
- The role involves a 360-degree approach, encompassing research, prospecting, client acquisition, onboarding, and account management. This is a challenging but rewarding role, providing opportunities for career growth and development within our organization.
- This FX Sales Executive will be responsible for playing a crucial role in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding our client base. In this non-people management role, you will focus on FX sales, account management, and client relationship development.
- You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, building strong client relationships, and providing expert advice on our proprietary FX platform where client transactions are executed.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within various sectors for money movement and foreign exchange solutions.
- Drive new corporate business through direct sales, following a ‘hunter’ approach under the guidance of the Treasurer.
- Prospect, present, and close deals while managing the entire sales cycle, ensuring compliance and customer onboarding.
- Collaborate with research and trading teams to enhance the client experience. Research and prospecting:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.
- Develop a strategic approach for identifying and prospecting new clients
Client acquisition:
- Initiate and manage campaigns to introduce potential clients to our services.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients.
- Sell our FX Conversion solution persuasively.
- Negotiate and close deals to onboard new clients
Onboarding process:
- Guide clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition into our platform.
- Provide clients with comprehensive information about our products and services.
- Address client inquiries and concerns during the onboarding phase.
Sales and Account Management:
- Proactively identify and target potential clients for FX Conversion services.
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Understand clients’ financial goals and risk tolerance to tailor our FX Conversion solutions accordingly.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and feedback.
- Generate periodic reports on sales performance and client portfolio.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other teams, including trading, research, and compliance, to provide seamless client service.
- Participate in regular meetings and discussions to enhance sales strategies and client offerings
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
- Minium of 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently as part of a team.
- Demonstrated B2B FX conversion solutions experience with proven track record in FX sales, account management, or a related financial sales role.
- Demonstrable experience of working towards targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, and especially the Foreign Exchange market with a focus on Africa is required.
- High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
- An aggressive can-do, enthusiastic and helpful attitude.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and networking abilities.
- Candidates must have a deep understanding of consultative sales principles, be adept at executive corporate level negotiations, and building long-term client relationships.
- Knowledge of business needs and concerns and must be able to demonstrate success in new business sales in a dynamic environment consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
- Excellent client acquisition skills as well as experience building relationships with people of varying levels of seniority in the banking and non-banking financial services industry.
- Proficient in relevant software and tools for tracking and reporting.
- IT literate; proficient in CRMs, a Google Workspace.
- Ambitious, self-motivated, confident with high integrity and tenacity to bring value to a tight knit team.
