Job Description
- This position will be responsible with playing a pivotal leadership and strategic role for the energy company; steering the company’s strategic direction, overseeing operations, and driving growth across various energy markets.
- He/She will be reporting directly to the Board of Directors, while providing strategic guidance that fosters a high-performance culture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- This position will be instrumental in building and maintaining the company’s energy position as an industry leader and as a responsible corporate citizen.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a long-term strategic plan that aligns with the company’s Energvision, mission, and business objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, potential markets, and emerging technologies to drive sustainable growth.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to stay ahead in the energy landscape.
- Lead the development of a dynamic business model that balances profitability with environmental and social impact.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure efficient utilization of resources across all business segments.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and innovation throughout the organization.
- Implement robust processes, systems, and controls to enhance operational efficiency and risk management.
- Collaborate with senior management to streamline interdepartmental communication and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
Financial Management:
- Manage the company’s financial performance, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
- Monitor key financial metrics and implement corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
- Identify opportunities to optimize revenue generation and cost containment strategies.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent within the organization, nurturing a high-performance culture.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to senior executives and department heads.
- Foster an inclusive work environment that values diversity and encourages professional development.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, partners, investors, and government entities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and other public forums, promoting the company’s vision and initiatives.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations across the company’s operations.
- Champion sustainable practices and uphold the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
Corporate Governance and Ethics:
- Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance and ethics, adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Oil & Gas, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in a senior leadership and management role within the energy industry is compulsory.
- In-depth knowledge of the energy sector, including renewable energy, conventional power generation, oil and gas, and energy trading.
- Demonstrated experience in driving strategic planning and business development initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and financial performance.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a focus on fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities.
