Job Summary
- As we continue to grow, we seek a dynamic General Manager with strong expertise in sales, marketing, and business development to drive strategic expansion and commercial performance.
- The General Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening the brand of Solar Depot Nigeria.
- This leadership role demands a results-driven professional with deep knowledge of the Nigerian renewable energy landscape, strong sales acumen, and proven experience in building and managing high-performing commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow market presence
- Lead and manage the national sales team, ensuring high productivity and customer conversion
- Identify new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial segments
- Build and manage relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners
- Oversee large project bids, proposals, and strategic partnerships
Marketing & Brand Strategy:
- Create and implement marketing plans to promote Solar Depot Nigeria’s products and services
- Drive lead generation campaigns through digital, direct, and field marketing channels
- Manage brand positioning, customer communication, and media outreach
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to refine product offerings and go-to-market strategy
- Oversee social media, events, and promotional initiatives
Strategic Leadership & Operations:
- Set annual business goals and lead the commercial team to achieve performance KPIs
- Collaborate with technical and operations departments to ensure delivery excellence
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting related to sales and marketing performance
- Provide regular business development updates and strategic insights to the Board
- Build and maintain a strong company culture focused on innovation, impact, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 7–10 years of proven leadership experience in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably in the renewable energy or technology sectors
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian energy market, customer segments, and regulatory environment
- Strong track record of closing high-value deals and leading successful sales teams
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce) and marketing tools.
