So, our Farm-Farmer School, located in the heart of the over 100-hectare farm affords us the environment to keep trainees in situ while they learn and practice the principles of regenerative agriculture for effective extension service delivery and hand-holding of our regenerative-agriculture-adopting communities. Our Farm-Farmer School is equipped with boarding facilities, a central refectory, demo plots and recreation facilities all sustainably solar powered. We offer trainings for farmers, institutions, policy makers, trainers and extension agents.
Job Title: Graduate Intern (Agricultural Economist – Regenerative Agriculture)

Job Summary
- We are seeking a dynamic Graduate Intern (Agricultural Economist) with a strong interest in regenerative agriculture to join our team.
- This role provides an opportunity for recent graduates to develop practical skills in agricultural economics, market analysis, and sustainable farming business models. Interns will work closely with experts at our SCL
- Farm-Farmer School, Kwali, supporting research, financial modeling, and economic analysis of regenerative agricultural systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct economic analysis and feasibility studies on regenerative agriculture practices.
- Assist in evaluating the financial viability of sustainable farming methods and value chain development.
- Support data collection, farm record-keeping, and financial modeling for improved agribusiness decision-making.
- Analyze market trends, pricing strategies, and policy impacts on agro-allied businesses.
- Develop cost-benefit assessments for sustainable farming techniques and their economic implications.
- Work with farm managers to optimize resource allocation and enhance farm productivity.
- Participate in research projects on agroeconomics, sustainability, and farm enterprise development.
- Assist in training sessions at the SCL Farm-Farmer School, Kwali, educating farmers and extension agents on economic sustainability in agriculture.
- Engage in policy analysis and contribute to reports on the economic impact of regenerative agriculture.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Recent graduate with a Degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Economics, or related fields.
- Strong interest in regenerative agriculture, sustainable farming, and rural development.
- Basic knowledge of economic modeling, data analysis, and financial planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, statistical tools, and financial modeling software is an advantage.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic farm environment and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Willingness to reside on the farm premises as required for training and work experience.
