Job Description
- You will be in charge of carrying out the tasks of the laboratory: Quality control analysis, application of formulas of flavours/fragrances developed, storage and identification of standard samples.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply the necessary pilot flavours/fragrances for the development of the flavours/fragrances, if applicable.
- Prepare all the application samples that must be sent, according to the Sample Note from the Commercial Department.
- Operate analytical instruments,such as GC-MS and HPLC,to analyze flavour and fragrance compounds.
- Interpret analytical data and conclude product quality and composition.
- Develop and validate new analytical methods.
- Organoleptic control of the flavours/fragrances. Identify non-conforming products for improvements.
- Confirm the stability of the applications of flavours/fragrances applied.
- Keep the database and records of the department updated.
- Maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Order and location of the applications and aromas used.
- Support to the Depts. R&D, Samples and/or Quality Control
- Quality control of raw materials, and incoming bases.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Document all work activities and findings accurately.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the flavour and fragrance industry.
Qualifications
- B.Sc or HND in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
- 0-2 years experience.
- Minimum Second Class Upper
- Not more than 28 years
- Knowledge of quality control methods.
- Experience in fragrance (perfume industry), beverage industry and FMCG.
- Basic knowledge of the making of confectioneries, beverages and pastries is an added advantage.
- Mastery of computer tools and spreadsheet.
