Responsibilities

  • Review and reconcile financial statements, accounts, and transactions to identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, collaborating with relevant departments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies during reconciliation processes.
  • Generate reconciliation reports and summaries for review by management.
  • Implement efficient reconciliation procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with finance and reconciliation teams to resolve complex reconciliation issues.
  • Communicate and document findings and resolutions effectively.
  • Monitor and report on reconciliation progress and outstanding issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial control processes.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to reconciliation.
  • Provide support during audits and examinations by external parties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Google Suite.
  • Proficiency in using Financial software and reconciliation tools is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proven experience in financial reconciliation, accounting, or auditing roles is an added advantage.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting findings.
  • Problem-solving abilities to investigate and resolve complex reconciliation issues.
  • Organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
