We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head – Research and Policy

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in research, policy analyses and high-level advocacy.
  • This person will follow, analyze and forecast the industry trends for taking informed and comparable industry position and for policy formation, advisory and best practices

Primary Responsibilities

  • Staying abreast of industry events.
  • Designing and executing research studies and continuous analyses of industry data
  • Conducting extensive in-depth research on strategic focus areas
  • Work with other teams to champion the integration of relevant organizational research findings and policy positions into all program activities and communication output.
  • Oversee the continuous identification, engagement, update and review of all key data policy sources and legal instruments.
  • Continuous engagement with key stakeholders (operators, regulators and relevant initiatives) and the industry.
  • Present progress reports on deliverables and impact of organization research and policy analyses for informed advocacy.
  • Periodically evaluate the performance of the team; ensure that feedback and evaluation is done in a timely manner.
  • Develop growth focused policy positions and advice on policy direction.

Requirements

  • First degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Post graduate degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
  • Research & policy analyses experience.
  • Project Management or requisite certification and/or a post graduate degree is an advantage
  • At least 8 years’ experience in a similar supervisory role or as team lead
  • Knowledge of the workings and policies of energy & petroleum industries in Nigeria & Africa is mandatory.

  • Bi or multi-lingual proficiency (French and/or Portuguese in addition to English) is an added advantage.
