Location: Abuja

Summary:

  • Our client is a healthcare and diagnostic facility specializing in Renal Medicine, Urology, Endoscopy, and other imaging services. Due to expansion and a focus on enhancing the patient experience, they are seeking high-performing professionals to join their growing organization.

Reports to: The Managing Director

The Role:

We are looking for a proactive and capable leader with strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, administrative, and record-keeping skills. The successful candidate will oversee both medical and administrative aspects of the facility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising day-to-day facility activities, managing staff and budgets.
  • Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and best practices, and implementing efficiency-improving measures.
  • Developing and implementing standard operating policies and procedures, and ensuring staff adherence.
  • Managing hospital operations, human resources, business development, and marketing strategies to optimize patient inflow.
  • Ensuring quality assurance, patient services, and active participation in community health initiatives.
  • Overseeing administrative tasks, departmental activities, budget evaluation, and recommending efficiency improvements.
  • Developing employee schedules based on patient needs, managing patient records, and overseeing staff hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Demonstrating a passion for clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

General Administration:

  • Monitor patient scheduling, referrals, and satisfaction.
  • Interact with patients to address concerns and ensure high-quality care and customer service.
  • Stay updated on medical practice laws and standards.
  • Identify growth strategies and execute plans.
  • Ensure policy compliance.
  • Manage revenue, expenses, and budgeting.
  • Support and implement IT systems.
  • Develop business strategies in line with expansion objectives.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure protocol compliance.
  • Develop and review Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain facility premises and security systems.

Human Resource Management:

  • Foster a productive work environment.
  • Implement work policies and performance appraisals.
  • Provide advice on staff training needs.
  • Manage staff meetings and internal communications.
  • Keep all staff and doctors informed of policy changes.
  • Directly supervise and coach non-clinical staff.

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is essential.
  • Master’s degree in healthcare or business management or a health-related field.
  • Proven management skills, including human resources, planning, finance, and budgeting.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ managerial experience and familiarity with technology.

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in healthcare or business management or a health-related field.
  • Experience in managing a healthcare practice.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and handle emergencies.
  • Strong leadership, customer service, and personnel management skills.
  • Proficiency in business management and planning.
  • Knowledge of budget processes and finance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, flexibility, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of fiscal and human resource management.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and budgeting.
  • Skills in planning, organizing, and supervising.

  • Ability to build effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients, and the public.
