While existing HR experience is important, we are especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate the ability to add value to the company and grow within the role. Integrity, professionalism, and alignment with company culture are also critical in selecting the right candidate. We are open to candidates with diverse backgrounds and are willing to offer visa sponsorship for highly promising candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure that the company adheres to UK employment laws, health & safety regulations, equality laws, and other relevant legislation. Particularly focus on ensuring compliance with immigration laws regarding visa applications, work visas, and renewals for foreign employees.
  • Visa Management: Support the processing of work visa applications, renewals, and other immigration compliance matters for employees, ensuring compliance with UK immigration regulations.
  • Payroll Management: Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate payroll processing, handling payroll-related inquiries, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • HR Information System Management: Manage and update employee data using the company’s HR information system (e.g., HRIS), ensuring accuracy and supporting the smooth execution of other HR functions.
  • Onboarding: Manage the employee onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration into the company and facilitating necessary training and paperwork, particularly for remote or home-based employees.
  • Employee Management & Support: Provide ongoing HR support to the new business divisions, including managing day-to-day HR queries, conflict resolution, and employee relations.
  • Employee Training & Development: Organise employee training sessions to ensure employees adapt to and perform effectively in diverse working environments, including remote and home-office scenarios.
  • Performance Management: Assist business units with performance management, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth performance evaluations (without direct responsibility for evaluations).
  • Employee Benefits Management: Assist with the management of employee benefits schemes, ensuring that all benefits are in line with employee needs and company policy.
  • Employee Relations: Handle employee-related issues and foster a positive working environment by addressing concerns and resolving potential conflicts.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • Candidates with 2+ years of HR experience in the UK: A solid background in HR management with the ability to manage multiple HR functions independently.
  • Candidates without full 2 years of UK experience but with HR experience in China and a relevant Master’s degree or academic background: Strong HR theoretical knowledge with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments.
  • Language: Fluent in Mandarin and able to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking employees.
  • Education: A degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification, particularly from a UK institution, would be an advantage.
  • Core Competencies:
  • Ability & Learning Capacity: Strong work ethic with the ability to quickly adapt to new environments and business needs, as well as strong learning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Potential: We place significant value on your future potential, and we expect you to grow into a more senior role within the company over time.
  • Professionalism & Responsibility: Strong professional standards, the ability to manage complex HR matters, and the ability to follow legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with employees from diverse backgrounds and build strong working relationships.
  • HRIS & Payroll Experience: Experience with HR management systems (e.g., HRIS) and payroll management, with the ability to coordinate with the finance department for smooth payroll execution.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Integrity & Team Spirit: A high standard of professional ethics and a collaborative approach to working in teams. The ability to face challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Innovation & Self-Driven: Ability to show innovation and initiative in a fast-paced environment and drive process improvements.

What We Offer:

  • Salary:
  • For candidates with 2+ years of HR experience in the UK: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience and skills).
  • For candidates without full 2 years of UK experience but with HR experience in China and a relevant academic background: £35,000 to £42,000 per annum (depending on background, experience, and potential).
  • Visa Sponsorship: For candidates who meet the criteria, we will provide Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship after 6 months to 1 year of employment. If a candidate is particularly outstanding, we may offer an early sponsorship arrangement.
  • Annual Bonus: Performance-based year-end bonus, typically ranging from £2,000 to £5,000 depending on company performance and individual contribution.
