Job Title: Inspection Engineer Trainee
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Description
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inspection Engineer Trainee to join our team.
- The successful candidate will assist in the inspection of customers’ Lifting equipment and accessories, ensuring compliance with JC International’s operating procedures and applicable industry standards.
- Under the supervision of an Inspection Engineer, you will coordinate on-site activities to maintain operational efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare test piece surfaces for inspection activities.
- Conduct inspections under the supervision of the Inspection Engineer.
- Generate accurate and detailed inspection reports.
- Enforce compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.
- Perform proof load testing and thorough examinations of lifting equipment and cargo carrying units under supervision.
- Carry out Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE) following JC International’s procedures and customer specifications under the guidance of an Inspection Engineer.
- Ensure job completion forms are signed off by clients upon task completion.
- Attend daily toolbox meetings to review safety and operational plans.
- Participate in weekly reviews of operating procedures and standards.
- Inspect and verify the readiness of materials and tools before starting tasks.
- Record equipment identification numbers in the mobilization booklet.
Qualifications & Requirements
- HND / B.Eng / B.Tech / B.Sc in Engineering or Sciences.
- Up to 3 years of experience in a similar inspection engineering role is an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills.
