We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Interventional Radiologist
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interventional procedures (angiography, drainages, biopsies, and embolization)
- Collaborate with surgical and medical teams
- Maintain detailed procedural records and ensure quality control.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Basic Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
Fellowship in relevant specialty (required for MDCN specialist registration):
- FMCR (Fellow, Medical College of Radiology – Nigeria)
- FWACS (Radiology) – West African College of Surgeons
- FRCR (UK – Royal College of Radiologists)
- Other certifications registrable by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
Subspecialty Certification in relevant field (must be from accredited institutions):
- European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR)
- Post-fellowship IR training (e.g., UCH Ibadan, Royal Free Hospital UK, AIIMS India)
- ACGME-accredited Interventional Radiology Fellowship (USA)
Years of Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years post-fellowship experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to interventional procedures.
Skills and Competencies:
- Vascular and non-vascular image-guided procedures
- Fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and MRI-guided interventions
- Radiation safety and patient counseling.
