Job Title: Investment Management Analyst

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Investment Management Analyst will support the portfolio management team by conducting research and analysis to guide investment decisions.
  • The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can analyze financial data, assess investment opportunities, and contribute to the optimization of portfolio performance.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of one year of relevant experience and a keen interest in investment strategies and financial markets.

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Support:

  • Assist the Portfolio Manager in managing investment portfolios to meet clients’ financial objectives.
  • Monitor and review the performance of assets within the portfolio, identifying areas for optimization.
  • Support in asset allocation strategies and periodic rebalancing of portfolios.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth research on equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and other financial instruments.
  • Analyze financial statements, industry trends, and market data to identify investment opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations based on research findings.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Prepare performance reports and presentations for internal and client review.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company investment guidelines.
  • Maintain and update investment research databases and tools.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with the portfolio management team to develop investment strategies.
  • Maintain communication with internal stakeholders and clients to provide updates on investment performance and strategies.

Key Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in investment research, portfolio management, or financial analysis.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel etc).
  • Knowledge of investment instruments, including equities, fixed income, and mutual funds.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Any reputable investment-related certifications will be an advantage.
