1). Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

Role Overview

  • As the Chief Commercial Officer, you will lead the commercial strategy for APMT Nigeria. This includes driving revenue growth, customer experience, business development, and ensuring commercial excellence across our operations.
  • You’ll be a key part of the Nigeria leadership team, managing a high-performing commercial team and collaborating with global and regional stakeholders to shape long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute Nigeria’s commercial strategy to drive growth and market share.
  • Lead commercial planning, sales, marketing, customer experience, and pricing.
  • Manage strategic relationships with shipping lines, importers, exporters, and government bodies.
  • Identify and implement new products, services, and revenue opportunities.
  • Champion customer-centricity and data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate on terminal investment and growth opportunities across Nigeria.
  • Drive transformation through global commercial standards and local innovation.
  • Build and mentor a strong commercial team across multiple locations.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years’ senior commercial leadership experience, preferably in logistics or terminals.
  • Proven ability to craft and execute commercial strategies in a matrix organization.
  • Strong financial and market acumen; experience in Nigeria or West Africa is a plus.
  • Excellent relationship builder with stakeholders, customers, and authorities.
  • A people-first leader who inspires and develops talent.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.

2). Crane Manager, MHC

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all planned preventive and corrective maintenance activities are executed safely, aiming to reduce risks to as low as reasonably possible.
  • Ensure the safety of all technicians within the team, leading by example in behaviors and practices.
  • Ensure all equipment under responsibility is maintained in accordance with local legislation and standards specified by APMT global functions.
  • Ensure all preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and inspection activities are completed efficiently based on calendar, running hours, condition, etc.
  • Ensure KPIs for equipment availability, reliability, cost, etc., are met for equipment under responsibility.
  • Ensure all required equipment KPIs and measures are correctly recorded and reported as required.
  • Ensure maintenance strategies are developed for all equipment under responsibility, including requirements specified by Global Asset Maintenance.
  • Lead the continuous review and improvement of equipment maintenance strategies, considering major and repetitive equipment failures.
  • Accountable for ensuring the integrity of all equipment, considering the age and service of equipment, through the development and execution of appropriate preventive, predictive, and inspection activities.
  • Manage a risk-based approach to pending corrective maintenance, considering the compounded risk to safety and operations through multiple failures or defects.
  • Develop the budget for all planned preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment under control.
  • Proactively track and manage maintenance costs for equipment, intervening when costs escalate and identifying ways to reduce costs.

Requirements
We Are Looking For:

  • University Degree in a related field.
  • Extensive experience with LIEBHERR mobile harbour cranes.
  • Well-versed in international standards for the safe and reliable operation of terminal mobile harbour cranes, with particular expertise in LIEBHERR models.
  • Strong leadership experience and ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Experience in service-focused roles that require effective stakeholder management.
  • Deep understanding of asset maintenance planning, including metrics, principles, processes, and requirements.
  • Structured, self-driven, and result-oriented, with a focus on achieving goals.
  • A commitment to quality, with a keen eye for detail in all tasks.
  • Culturally aware, with experience in diverse, multicultural environments, and a respectful approach to working with employees, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
