Job Title: Junior DevOps Engineer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Summary
- We’re seeking a passionate Junior DevOps Engineer to support the infrastructure that powers our payment gateway and transaction processing systems.
- You will help automate deployments, manage cloud environments, and ensure system reliability and security across our production and sandbox platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in configuring and managing scalable AWS infrastructuretailored for high-volume fintech services.
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for backend, frontend, and microservice deployment using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Support infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
- Monitor system health, performance, and uptime using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or DataDog.
- Participate in the setup and maintenance of disaster recovery and high-availability configurations.
- Help manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ensure logs and audit trails are maintained for compliance and incident investigation.
- Support the engineering team in debugging production issues related to infrastructure, deployment, or environment configurations.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Support role.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing environments (AWS preferred).
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Comfortable with scripting languages like Bash or Python.
- Strong commitment to uptime, security, and scalability.
- Passion for fintech and interest in learning how infrastructure supports payments.
