1). Helpdesk/Support Specialist

Job Description

  • This job role provides IT service desk support to relevant stakeholders for business operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as the single point of contact for all IT-related issues
  • Resolve non-critical issues and escalate others to relevant departments within IT.
  • Implement standard help desk procedures.
  • Log all help desk interactions.
  • Follow up with relevant departments in IT and users to ensure complete resolution of issues.
  • Train computer users as necessary.
  • Engages new employees in IT culture.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of the Service Desk and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Performs any other duty as requested by Head Service Delivery.

Minimum Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage
  • Professional certifications in database management Programming are required
  • 2-5 years Experience.

Technical Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of ITIL Service Operations processes (preferably with formal certification)
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications
  • Proven experience using the following applications & technology – Desktop OS and applications, general familiarity with desktop, laptop, server, and network
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, MCSE, ITIL, MCP
  • hardware, ITSM tools, Monitoring tools, Remote management tools.

  • This job role is designed to promote a safe and secure business environment for all IBEDC stakeholders and assets in the area of coverage.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures to promote a safe and secure environment for all employees and Company assets.
  • Designs and recommends security solutions to prevent security breach in all IBEDC facilities in the area of coverage.
  • Gathers intelligence to keep abreast of information on security issues in the environs and deploys appropriate responses.
  • Develops escalation protocols for attending to imminent threats to assets and personnel.
  • Preparation of periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provides security briefings to Regional management and HQ as required.
  • Liaises with internal and external stakeholders in investigating crime activities affecting IBEDC operations
  • Conducts periodic assessments to monitor compliance with established internal security controls and puts in place measures to ensure compliance.
  • Oversees the performance of third party security personnel to ensure compliance with the Service Level Agreement.
  • Carry out other sundry assignments as stipulated by the HSO.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
  • Membership of a professional security body is a requirement.
  • At least 10+ years combined experience in either law enforcement and/or the corporate security field; with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
