1). Chief Commercial Officer – Pipeline

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

  • As CCO, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive commercial strategies that accelerate our path to profitability while expanding market penetration in both urban and rural areas.

What you will be doing

  • Set the commercial strategy of the department (sales targets, target categories/segments to unlock, target key suppliers, target number of suppliers to onboard, etc.)
  • Manage a team responsible for vendor acquisition, account management, commercial planning and vendor support
  • Scale the team and processes to support the growth of the company
  • Recruit qualified candidates to join the team
  • Meet with key vendors and suppliers to negotiate partnerships, contracts and service level agreements
  • Ensure regular, high-quality reporting of team actions and results
  • Manage KPIs and performance metrics to track commercial objectives

Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior commercial leadership experience, preferably in e-commerce or marketplace businesses

  • Experience in multi-country operations, preferably in Africa or similar emerging markets
  • Strong background in marketplace dynamics, seller management, and digital commerce
  • Experience with vendor relationship management and B2B partnerships
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce business models and marketplace operations
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex commercial data
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Experience with pricing strategies, revenue optimization, and commercial planning
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of African markets preferred
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • Additional certifications in digital commerce or emerging markets advantageous.

2). Chief Supply Chain Officer – Pipeline

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

  • As CSCO, you will drive operational excellence across our integrated warehouse network, optimize logistics infrastructure, and support our path to profitability through efficient, scalable supply chain solutions adapted to African markets

What you will be doing
Operations Excellence and Service Quality:

  • Implement best practice fulfillment, distribution, on-demand and delivery operations
  • Drive business relationships with clients and prospects by exploring opportunities to sell the full portfolio of Jumia Services
  • Manage quality of service being provided to all clients
  • Constantly improve and develop new internal processes
  • Make fast decisions to resolve emergencies
  • Coordinate project management of all initiatives within your team

  • Strong background in supply chain technology, automation, and digital transformation
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce fulfillment and last-mile delivery challenges
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to optimize complex logistics networks
  • Strong leadership and change management capabilities
  • Experience with cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of African market dynamics
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics technology platforms

3). Logistics Operations Manager

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

  • The Logistics Operations Manager will oversee material handling, transportation, delivery, and return collections.
  • They will prepare worker schedules and ensure that distribution, delivery, and last-mile workers adhere to safety regulations.

What you will be doing

  • Managing day to day operations.
  • Challenging established processes and implementing new processes to adapt to the fast growth of Jumia Supply Chain clients.
  • Finding creative and innovative ways to offer a better customer experience.
  • Fully understanding our information system and working with our IT team to roll our new developments.
  • Working closely with the Supply Chain central team to share and implement global best practices.
  • Managing relationships with clients and partners (Third party logistics partners).

What we are looking for

  • 10 years with 2+ years direct management experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment with a strong focus on logistics or alternatively consulting / banking.
  • A completed master’s degree from an accredited university; Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or MBA preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email, Internet etc.
  • Proficient in Google Office Suite – Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, etc.
  • Ability to lead large teams.
  • Experience with process design and improvement.
  • Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Pro-active attitude, entrepreneur, able to work both independently and within a team.
  • Hardworking, result-oriented, methodical and very structured.
