1). First & Last Mile Regional Manager – Jumia

Job Overview

  • The First and Last Mile Regional Manager will be responsible for leading and supervising pickup and delivery operations to ensure exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
  • This role involves managing a team of operators while driving performance improvements and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
What you will be doing:

  • Lead and supervise a team of First Mile & Last Mile Operators to ensure timely and accurate execution of pickup and delivery operations
  • Assign daily tasks and routes to team members based on workload, priorities, and customer requirements
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their skills, productivity, and performance
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to identify areas for improvement and recognize achievements
  • Monitor team performance and KPIs, such as on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and vehicle utilization, and take corrective actions as necessary to meet or exceed targets
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Warehouse Operations, Procurement, and Customer Service, to optimize logistics processes and resolve any issues or challenges
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of pickup and delivery activities, vehicle maintenance, and driver performance
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the team, promoting open communication, teamwork, and a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements
What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, transportation, or delivery services, including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and deliver results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions, and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using technology tools and systems for route planning, tracking, and reporting (e.g., GPS, route optimization software)
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform lifting and carrying tasks associated with loading and unloading goods, as needed
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Candidates must be based in one of the following locations: Lagos, Benin/Calabar, Owerri/Onitsha, or Kano/Kaduna

2). Aftersales Team Lead

Description

  • The Aftersales Team Lead is responsible for managing the end-to-end returns process, ensuring accurate evaluation of customer claims, quality assessment of returned products, and efficient processing of items for redistribution to inventory, vendors, or customers.

Responsibilities
What you will be doing:

  • Oversee receipt and reconciliation of return packages from the Network team
  • Conduct thorough quality assessments on all returned items to validate customer claims
  • Ensure timely processing of all packages within established SLA timeframes
  • Manage queue systems for items in transit and received inventory
  • Implement continuous monitoring processes to prevent losses and track all processed items
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all aftersales transactions
  • Lead performance management including appraisals, training, and development of aftersales staff
  • Train team members on new systems, processes, and quality standards
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accuracy and efficiency

  • Aftersales or returns management experience in FMCG/E-commerce (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Gmail)
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems

3). Key Account Manager (Chinese Speaking)

Job Objective

  • As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the customer experience and growth of the key vendors assigned to you.
  • You will play a critical role in bringing in relevant assortment, designing targeted promotions, and managing key vendors in our marketplace—including direct communication and relationship management with Chinese supplier partners.

Responsibilities
What you will be doing:

  • Directly manage partner relationships and execute smart partnerships, overseeing negotiation to execution.
  • Interface directly with Chinese vendors: manage relationships, negotiate terms, and ensure effective communication between Jumia and our Chinese supplier partners.
  • Lead project implementation analysis and translate it into actionable tasks to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure continuous growth of our existing business by owning pricing and promotions strategy, working with marketing teams to improve product content and visibility, and managing stock availability by coordinating teams across the business to bring the product to the customer.
  • Manage complete sales performance of the Mid and Long-Tail Categories, vendor and merchant management, and monitor sales strategies to increase the Business Unit’s Net Margin Position (NMP) and Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV).
  • Drive customer acquisition through value offering and sales campaign management.
  • Create and present strategic insights for the Business Unit to gain alignment on major initiatives at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Analyze and present post-promotion analysis for retail and marketplace, quantifying impact to brand and category.
  • Define and optimize curation/assortment selection strategy for your portfolio, ensuring relevance of selection/styling to optimize revenues and sales velocity.
