1). Company Driver
Location: Anambra, Enugu
Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly reliable Company Driver to assist with all transportation-related duties.
- The Company Driver’s responsibilities include dropping and picking up staff, collecting various packages, and maintaining a travel log to record work hours, travel time and locations traveled to.
- Our ideal candidate is a skilled driver with an excellent driving record, a keen sense of direction, and superb organizational and time management skills.
- Ultimately, the role of the Company Driver is to ensure timely, safe and professional driving services.
Job Duties
- Responsible for vehicle checks and maintenance, ensuring it is safe and reliable to use
- Following pre-determined routes to transport goods or passengers to assigned locations
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods, if applicable
- Ensuring documents are signed upon delivery to confirm receipt of goods
- Adhering to all driving laws and regulations
- Keeping logs of activities, including mileage and fuel consumption
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers and manage time efficiently to meet schedules
- Assisting in resolving any issues that may arise during delivery
- Carrying out basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure, oil levels, and replenishing fuel
- Reporting any accidents or damages to the vehicle to the management immediately
Responsibilities
- Transporting company staff and packages in a safe, timely manner.
- Maintaining a travel log to record work hours, travel-time and locations traveled to.
- Carrying out vehicle maintenance checks and arranging for vehicle repairs when necessary.
- Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs.
- Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal routes.
- Interacting with clients professionally at all times.
- Ensuring that the vehicle is always clean and in good working condition
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess an HND, NCE, OND, SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 2 – 3 years work experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proven experience as a Company Driver or relevant role.
- A clean driving record.
- Familiarity with GPS devices or map apps.
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage.
- A polite and professional disposition.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

2). Fleet Manager
Location: Oyo
Job Summary
- The Fleet Officer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and operation of the company’s vehicle fleet.
- This includes coordinating vehicle maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing fuel consumption, monitoring driver performance, and assisting in the planning and scheduling of transportation operations.
- The Fleet Officer ensures that the fleet operates efficiently, cost-effectively, and within regulatory requirements, with a focus on safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and servicing of the company’s fleet of vehicles.
- Ensure vehicles are regularly inspected and maintained to meet safety and operational standards.
- Track fleet utilization and ensure maximum operational efficiency.
- Manage vehicle documentation including insurance, registration, and other relevant paperwork.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all vehicles comply with local and national regulations (e.g., safety, emissions, and licensing).
- Monitor and enforce safe driving practices among drivers.
- Ensure that vehicles undergo regular safety inspections and maintain compliance with safety standards.
- Keep updated on changes in transportation laws and regulations and ensure the f leet is compliant.
Fuel Management:
- Monitor fuel consumption, ensuring fuel efficiency goals are met and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Track fuel usage, manage fuel cards, and identify opportunities to reduce fuel expenses.
Driver Coordination & Training:
- Oversee driver scheduling and ensure optimal route planning.
- Provide ongoing driver training, including safety protocols, eco-driving techniques, and compliance with traffic laws.
- Monitor and report on driver performance, including accident records, fuel efficiency, and adherence to schedules.
Fleet Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, repairs, fuel usage, and driver performance.
- Prepare regular reports on fleet activities, costs, and performance for senior management.
- Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and fleet cost analysis.
Vendor & Supplier Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors, including maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, and vehicle leasing companies.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and high quality service.
Fleet Planning & Optimization:
- Assist in the planning and purchasing of new vehicles or replacement vehicles as needed.
- Analyze fleet performance and make recommendations for improvements, such as new technologies or vehicle models.
Emergency Response:
- Coordinate emergency vehicle support, including breakdowns and accidents.
- Ensure prompt resolution of any issues that may impact fleet availability or safety.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Transport Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in fleet management or logistics are a plus.
Experience:
- Proven experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics (typically 3-5 years).
- Experience in managing drivers, vehicle maintenance, and safety compliance.
- Strong knowledge of local transportation laws and vehicle safety regulations.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Licenses / Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- Certification in fleet management (e.g., from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or similar) is a plus.
