1). Legal Officer

Location: Onikan, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The job holder is responsible for the provision of legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Taking minutes of meetings.
  • Drafting of legal letters, memos and corporate correspondence for the department and company
  • Follow up on company’s court cases/ Facilitating Perfection of title on company’s properties
  • Preparation of legal documents such as; deeds, review of contracts, Insurance claim, general agreements and MOU
  • Representation of the company at CAC, NIMASA, NPA, SFU and all other designated places.
  • Conduct research of all laws affecting the Bank and ensure strict compliance
  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice, representation and referral to the Bank.
  • Ensure effective communication links between the Legal Unit and other business units of the Bank

Qualification, Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • LLB, BL Degree.
  • At least 5 years legal experience ideally in a leading organization, with a proven track record in contract negotiation and drafting.
  • Proven track record of providing accurate and effective legal counsel.
  • Proven track record of adding value to an organization through the development of comprehensive contract documents that mitigate risk and penalties.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Good planning and organization skills

2). Head, Digital Banking

Location: Onikan Lagos

Reports to: Managing Director

Job Summary

  • Primarily responsible for overseeing the all the Bank’s online business activities as well as developing policies and procedures for electronic banking processes to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations. The Head of the Digital Banking Unit will also be responsible for directly supporting the Banking Operations Unit to resolve customer issues with online tools.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute business strategies for digital banking channels, which include internet, mobile, and social media channels for both personal and business clients.
  • Explore and implement new digital banking solutions and initiatives for the Bank.
  • Lead projects to enhance the digital banking channels to increase the competitiveness of the platforms.
  • Lead in implementing the competitive digital solutions for the Bank.
  • Monitors all the digital banking platforms and processes to ensure optimal performance and usability. Manages the upgrade/release calendar for all digital platforms.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to promote digital banking initiatives, support successful completion of digital banking projects, and increase customer adoption and engagement.
  • Define solutions to increase the efficiency of the digital communication channels (e.g. Email, SMS, and push notification).
  • Contribute input or ideas in turning digital channels to be an important service channel.
  • Ensure internet activities comply and fulfill regulatory requirements and protect the best interest of all the Bank’s customers.
  • Provide support in executing and monitoring the overall development of online services for different channels.
  • To monitor the usage of digital banking services and monitor the market trend.
  • To prepare competitors’ benchmarking and analysis.
  • To assist other subsidiaries in the Group in digital channel development.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of an HND/B.Sc. in Business Administration, Marketing, e-Commerce, Information Technology, or its related disciplines. Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • 10 – 15 years of relevant experience in the banking industry with proven track records in online/digital banking.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the banking industry.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Detail-oriented & able to work under pressure to meet tight schedule.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge in HTML, CSS and JavaScript is preferred.

3). Head, Treasury Marketing

Location: Onikan, Lagos

Job Summary

  • Primarily responsible for overseeing the entire Treasury Marketing Unit of the Bank while working closely with Team Members to drive business revenue as well as maintaining mutually beneficial relationship with Customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop treasury marketing strategies and campaigns designed to meet Customer’s investment needs.
  • Effectively monitor the selling of treasury products by organizing training programs and updating business units on treasury product developments
  • Work closely with other functional Units in managing Customers’ investments, liquidation and rollover.
  • Manage market storms and targeted advertising periodically to ensure wide reach to prospective clients.
  • Responsible for the Bank’s entire Treasury Team (Treasury Marketers, Deposit Mobilizers, and DSAs), and ensure that they are regularly trained and brought up to speed with market trends and investment strategies.
  • Periodically prepare and render Treasury Marketing reports to the Managing Director as and when due.
  • Advise new and existing Customers on investment products and opportunities.
  • Supervise the negotiation of suitable investment rates for both the Bank and Customers to ensure a smooth Treasury Management.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of an HND/B.Sc. in any discipline. Master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • 10 – 15 years of experience in the financial sector, preferably in Microfinance or Commercial Banking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Great Negotiation Skills. Should be able to sell investment products to HNI clients
  • Ability to work with and manage large teams.
  • Analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent use of MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proven ability to meet/exceed targets and deadlines.
  • Excellent relationship and people management skills.
